The common feature of the research in this field is the development
of mathematical tools for the design and analysis of algorithms for the
efficient solution of computational problems. Particular interest is devoted
to the analysis of matrix structures and to their exploitation.
A special attention is addressed to numerical issues and to problems arising
from applications.
