How to get to Pisa:

By train:

The closest train station is Pisa Centro. From there there are buses to the town. the center is 10 minutes walking distance from the station, while CRM De Giorgi and the Math Department are approximately 20-25 minutes distance walking from the town. Buses cannot arrive in the very center of the town, which is a pedestrian area. You may ask ask your hotel for the best way to get there from the station. The train schedules can be obtained from the official timetable, or alternatively at the DB, which also covers non-italian train stations.

By plane:

·  Pisa International Airport is very close to the town. You can reach the town either by taxi (at the cost of approximately 15 euros), or by train (look here, for trains from Pisa Aeroporto to Pisa Centro), or by bus (see here for the schedule).

Other convenient airports could be:

·  Roma Fiumicino International Airport (about 300 Km away). From Fiumicino airport, catch a train to Roma Termini railway station, and then from Roma Termini to Pisa Centrale station.

·  Florence Peretola International Airport (about 90 Km away). From Peretola airport, take a bus to Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station and a train to Pisa Centrale station.
