Paolo Lisca  "2-bridge knots and the ribbon conjecture"

Abstract: The long-standing ribbon conjecture states that a smoothly
slice knot in the 3-sphere is ribbon. I will describe a proof of the
ribbon conjecture for the special class of 2-bridge knots.
