Andrei Vesnin (Novosibirsk) "Constructions of hyperbolic 3-manifolds with hyperelliptic involutions" An involution of an n-dimensional manifold is said to be hyperelliptic if the quotient space by its action is homeomorphic to the n-sphere. A manifold having such an involution is said to be a hyperelliptic manifold. We will discuss three aspects of the theory of 3-dimensional hyperbolic hyperelliptic manifolds: (1) construction of hyperelliptic manifolds from 4-colorings of Coxeter polyhedra; (2) manifolds of small volume admitting three hyperelliptic involutions; (3) number of connected components of branching sets of hyperelliptic involutions.
