Giorgio Valla: a semantic web

The site shows the results of the PhD Thesis Giorgio Valla e i libri matematici del "De expetendis et fugiendis rebus": contenuto, fonti, fortuna edited by Roberta Tucci.

The site has been organized in two parts. The first one focuses on the author Giorgio Valla (1447 - 1501) and on his main work, De expetendis et fugiendis rebus. The other one, clearly the most important from an academic point of view, is dedicated to the presentation of the vallian OWL ontology that has been developed. This ontology is an effective instrument to dig into fonts, citations and structure of the De expetendis et fugiendis rebus. The source code of the ontology is available here.

The column on the left has been added to facilitate the navigation through the different area of the site.
