Scholarships

• DSU Scholarships

Students may apply for a scholarship provided by the DSU (Azienda della Regione Toscana per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario, "Tuscan Regional Authority for the Right to University Education"), which grants an exemption from the university fees, or a reduction of them, depending on the family income.

The complete scholarship includes free accommodation and meals and a grant for other expenses (sports activities, books, etc.).

• INdAM Scholarships

The INdAM (Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica, "National Institute of High Mathematics") provides scholarships through a national examination-based competition.

For Bachelor's Degree
For the academic year 2021/22 there will be awarded at least 30 scholarships of 4000 euros each. These scholarships cannot be combined with other ones, but they are renewable for all the duration of the Course of Study (e.g. 3 years for the Bachelor's Degree), under the condition that the student passes all the exams relative to the academic year of the scholarship (and to the previous years) before the 31st December with an ECTS-weighted average grade of 27/30 and no grade under 24/30.

Locandina INdAM 2021/2022

For Master's Degree
For the academic year 2021/22 there will be awarded at least 13 scholarships, of which 5 (with 3 of them intended for female students) reserved for students enrolled in the first year of the Master's Degree Course in Pisa for the A.Y. 2021/22, of 2500 euros each. These scholarships cannot be combined with other ones, but scholarship recipients can ask for a refund of up to 1000 euros for board, lodging and travel expenses for participating in off-site scientific meetings for research/study purposes during their Master's thesis work. Moreover, recipients may be awarded a final prize of up to 2000 euros based on the evaluation of their Master's thesis, under the conditions that they (1) pass all the exams relative to the first year of the Master's Course before 31st December 2022 with an ECTS-weighted average grade of 27/30 and no grade under 24/30; (2) pass all the remaining exams of the Master's Course before 31st December 2023 with an ECTS-weighted average grade of 27/30 and no grade under 24/30; (3) obtain their Master's Degree Diploma before 28th February 2024.
