We are pleased to announce that Irene Cavallari, PhD in Mathematics from our Department, has received the UniPi award for the best doctoral thesis discussed in 2023 in Sector 1 – Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences.
Now in its sixth edition, the UniPi award is given to the best doctoral theses selected based on various criteria: the final evaluation, originality and innovation of the research, and the impact and relevance of the results in the scientific field.
Dr. Cavallari earned the University’s award for her doctoral thesis, “Patched dynamics and perturbation theory in some problems of Celestial Mechanics”, under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Federico Gronchi and Prof. Giulio Baù.
