We are pleased to announce that Prof. Velichkov is among the recipients of the ERC Consolidator Grants 2025, one of the most prestigious European funding schemes supporting excellent mid-career researchers, with his project “Fine Structure and Regularity of Moving and Stationary Free Interfaces” (FiRM).
The ERC Consolidator Grant programme, funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe, supports the most innovative and ambitious frontier research. In the 2025 edition, the European Research Council selected 349 researchers representing 44 different nationalities.
The achievement of Prof. Velichkov is a highly distinguished recognition, attesting to the excellence of his scientific work in the field of partial differential equations and free boundary problems, and further strengthening the presence of our Department on the international mathematical research landscape.
