Maria Colombo wins the International “Guido Stampacchia” Award

The Department of Mathematics congratulates Maria Colombo for receiving the International “Guido Stampacchia” Award during the VARANA (Variational Analysis and Applications) conference, currently taking place this week in Erice.

Maria, who earned her bachelor’s degree (in 2010) and master’s degree (in 2011) in mathematics from our Department, and was also a student at the Scuola Normale, has already received numerous international awards for her research in the field of Variational Analysis, including, most recently, the European Mathematical Society Prize.
