Daniele Barbera's field of research is the analysis of PDEs, in particular of the fluid dynamic systems. His supervisors are Vladimir Georgiev in Pisa and Kousuke Kuto in Tokyo. His works focus on the Beris-Edwards and Ericksen-Leslie models for the behaviour of nematic liquid crystals. His Ph.D. Project is under a cotutelle program (outgoing program).
