Lorenzo Stefanello studies (the interactions between) skew braces, recent algebraic structures introduced in connection with solution of the Yang–Baxter equation, and Hopf–Galois structures, whose role in Galois modules theory has been shown to be significant. In particular, his Ph.D. project, under the supervision of Ilaria Del Corso (University of Pisa) and Paul Truman (Keele University), aims to present a new version of the connection between skew braces and Hopf-Galois structures, in order to make it bijective, explicit, and structural.
