The research area of Mattia Pirani is algebraic geometry. His Ph.D. Project is about the study of rational points on homogeneous spaces defined over fields of low cohomological dimension, in particular he is interested to R-equivalence classes of such points. His supervisors are Philippe Gille (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France) and Tamás Szamuely (Università di Pisa).
