I'm currently an Associate professor of Numerical Analysis at the University of Pisa. My main research theme is the development of numerical methods and algorithms to solve biological, physiological, and industrial problems, modeled by partial differential equations. I constantly use and develop open source tools for high performance computing, and I am one of the main developers of the deal.II library (www.dealii.org).
