We are pleased to announce that Lorenzo Stefanello, PhD in Mathematics from our Department, has received the UniPi Study Award for the best doctoral thesis defended in 2024 in Sector 1 – Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences.
Now in its seventh edition, the UniPi Award is granted to the best doctoral theses selected on the basis of several criteria: evaluation received, originality and innovation of the research, and the impact and relevance of the results within the scientific field.
Dr. Stefanello was awarded this University prize for his doctoral thesis “Hopf–Galois structures, skew braces, and their connection”, supervised by Prof. Ilaria Del Corso and co-supervised by Prof. Paul Truman.
