Welcome to the homepage concerning the Research Activities carried out by the Department of Mathematics. The scientific groups of the Department focus on different aspects of Mathematical Logic, Algebra, Geometry, Mathematical Education and History of Mathematics, Mathematical Analysis, Probability and Statistics, Mathematical Physics, and Numerical Analysis.
Moreover, the Department of Mathematics hosts the Research Unit of the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica Francesco Severi. The director of the Research Unit is Nicola Visciglia.

The subsection “Conferences” lists the upcoming and past conferences organized by members of the Department.
