Abstract
This talk is based on a joint work with Michael Ruzhansky and it is devoted to proving the global solvability of the Cauchy problem for the Kirchhoff equation in the Gevrey space. More precise results are derived for solutions in the s-Gevrey classes. Furthermore, similar results are obtained for the initial-boundary value problems in bounded domains and in exterior domains with compact boundary.
